| | | Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 255 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 255 | That did the trick guys! I took a 12 inch piece of wood and drilled a 1.5 inch hole along one edge. Used that to press down on the retaining ring for about 15 minutes, it finally loosened up and came free.
Follow-up question: Are there any rubber or leather washers in between the retainer and cup? Or between the cup and spring?
