Engines and Transmissions are never a good reason to scrape a truck. If the cab and frame are solid then you have yourself a great project! If they are a little rotten, there still is a project in there, but you'll have to evaluate if you want to tackle it or if you might be better selling it to someone else and find yourself a different project.
