Cool on the Oakland manufacture.
I'm from Oakland too, now a NV resident -- same as the truck.

Now to look up clearances and whatnot for that 292.
Time to get the valve adjustment tools out, do the timing, check points, adjust the carb etc.

Didn't get a minute to fiddle with it today, tomorrow I'll air all six tires properly and take it for another tour down the hill and into the valley.
Hoping the front end feels better with proper tire pressure :-)

Also, it's somewhat nice to see that any two hundred buck small block eight will slip in there if ever necessary.
