| | | | Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 | Even though first and reverse share one of the gears, called the first reverse slider, they use the opposite sides of the gear.
It is common for the first gear side of that gear to wear through the case hardening much faster then the reverse side as it does not see as much use.
