Mine did that until I installed diodes (2) in the leads to the lamps to prevent the feedback. I might be able to find my notes as to which leads, but I did find it by trial and error. Connect the corners one at a time and see which causes the problem. The leads to the front lamps sounds vaguely familiar.
Works great now.
