Your post states you have the truck "apart". So if you have the engine out and the front sheetmetal off, then yes, now would be the time to do the IFS. It's also recommended to add a brake booster for the disc brakes. Your truck pic's look like its in very good condition, but if your not satisfied with the stock steering, suspension, brakes, and don't mind the expense I'd say go for it. I don't recall any bolter being unhappy with this upgrade.
