Update. I thought i would roll the dice and give it another wack with the sledge. The drivers side took a little time but finally came out. The passengers side took about five mins. Nothing appears damaged. Now i guess the trick now is the install after i receive the new ones from the parts house. Any advice to the install will be greatly appreciated. Learning as i go.
