Have you seen finished trucks that use the blazer rear tank? The tank hangs down pretty low and is visible from the rear and side of the truck big_eek

Yes, I had seen pictures of the rear mounted blazer tank and really debated whether to put one in. What drove me to it was the smell of gas in the cab when I drove the truck when I first got it.
Not sure how the others were mounted but I mounted mine to be flush with the top of the frame. Basically it is 13" deep and only 6" hang below the frame so I am hoping that it does not show as much as the picture. If it does, I will just paint a chevy emblem on it and go with it. Worst case, I can find a 50's tank to hang in the frame or get a custom tank built.
