My truck is a 47 3100. The 216 is gone and the 235 will replace it is from a 54 1/2 ton. My goal is to use the Saginaw two grove 4-speed. First issue was my 47 belhousing was to narrow for the Saginaw. I found a later bellowing that fits the motor and trans. My question is about the rear motor mount. Both the belhousings look the same where the motor mounts fit.. I do not understand how the rear motor mount goes together? The one from the 47 is two pieces of metal with rubber between them. They did pry apart. Are they made this way or are they molded together and mine are broken? Thank you for any help in understanding this.
