Thanks guys! I'm sure I'll have lots of questions. It is interesting you think it might be a '49 cal78, I'll have to look into that.
The body is incredibly straight. It's one of the reasons I bought it. The cab corners are completely fine, no replacement needed. The top of the cab looks like it got beat a little, but I think I can straighten that with a hammer and dolly. I just love these old trucks, can't wait to drive it.
I'm going to try to get it started up this weekend I hope. I'll let you know how that goes. I'm close.
