| | | | Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 21 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jan 2013 Posts: 21 | I just bought a 1955 First Series with a 235 and I believe a 390 rear end. It also has 30" tires on the rear. The previous owner put in a 700R4 transmission. It drives in town and freeway fine. I haven't hooked up a tach yet. If I am doing it correctly, I'm turning about 2000 RPM at 65 MPH. What would be the RPM range for engine longevity and mileage for long trips? Any help would be appreciated. | | |
