OK, so i can use the 53-55 235 (3835911)oil pumps (i have 3 of them) and i'll get an external mount filter. I'm understanding that i'll only get partial filtration ___%?. also the pickup screen housing has a bolt that supports it to one of the crank bearing 2nd or 3rd caps, but the model 235 i'm using doesn't have that hole (3769716). When i look online at auto parts stores the oil pump is different for 58-62 than 53-55 235. can i use the older pumps and a newer type flat round p/u creen that doesn't need that bolt support?
