On my '49, I think I had it on the side of the battery box. Or maybe it was on the frame inside the fender well. I also had some jumper studs on the frame. I had redone the floor ( before panels were sold at vendors ) and it was solid sheet. So the only way to service the battery was to drop it down. I had the key version for the shutoff switch as a theft deterrent.
