I've been laughing at myself since I posted that idea cause I had someplace in mind for it but couldn't recall what or where for the life of me... finally it just dawned, the edge of the heat diverter inside my heater box. It kind of needs to rub against the side to maintain some friction to stay in a middle postition but the scrapping sound just seemed off. so that's when I thought of that stuff. Like Red say's...
