Hi all. I stopped by the tire shop to get some used tires for my 48 driver and the owner gave me what I believe is a 292. He said it came out of a early 60's truck, but was a transplant as it had homemade mounts.
Where are the id numbers for a 292? This engine is pretty greasy, but I am guessing 292 because of the offset motor mounts. It does have a similar looking intake and exhaust to my 235's and 216's. The engine is complete except for the carb and starter. No idea what condition it is in, but the price is right. Wahoooo!!!!!
I gave a neighbor one of my spare doors for his 49 and in turn he gave me a 250 that was running and complete. I have yet to pick it up, because it is stored in his barn and I dont have room for it in mine. Are the motor mounts offset on the 250's? Thanks in advance for your help.
