When I disassembled mine the clutch still had printing on the friction material. Some buddy must have just changed it before pulling the engine and leting it lay under a piece of tin for 20 years or so. I used it and have put over a 1000 miles on the truck in the last few years with no problem. But I did have the pressure plate rebuilt,faced the fly wheel and bought a new throw out bearing.
