Hi Evey, welcome. If your biggest concern is what to do with your old engine, you're in good shape. I don't think there is a huge demand for them myself, you likely don't even know the condition of it. You could ask around on this site, maybe advertise it in the flea market or even in the freebies section. What I did with mine was take off the accessories down to the bare block and scrapped the block.
