Thats another use for my vacuum pump. Besides vacuum bagging and
degasing epoxies and such. It does come in handy for checking a
vaccum wiper motor or vacuum fan.

All the oil and grease in the world isn't going to help your
wiper motor if the piston seal is shot and 98% of them are shot
after 60 years of use.
The "one" rebuilder that is left will put all new parts in the
motor and it will work like it did when it was new, which
wasn't all that good to begin with. Even with the dual
fuel/vacuum pump they aren't very reliable. Quite simply if
vacuum wipers or appliances were reliable they would still be
using them today. The only real for sure fix for dependable
wipers is to upgrade to an electric unit. If you want to stay
100% original with your AD truck then you will have to put up
with unreliable winshield wipers that was part of it even back
in the day.
