Hello 'Bolters!
The family farm has a 1946 Chevy COE that ran until recently. As the resident mechanic, I foolishly volunteered to get it running again. I'm told it's six-volt, and generally very original. It has a four-speed, I think (PTO for the dump bed) and a two-speed axle. The body is solid; I did not see any rust-through. It should be a nice truck when done....
I have a few questions:
1. How the !@@#$ do I get to the engine? Does the cab tilt? The mechanism, if there is one, is well-concealed.
2. I found some pix online that suggest there are access panels in the cab floor that provide access to the engine area. Do these get me to the carb, igntion, etc?
3. Where's the battery?
