have the windlace installed...works great. Headlights will be better with the new bulbs, once I order them from the supplier mentioned earlier. Had a problem with headlights not working,...again. Solved with sourcing to a double fused light control switch.
About the hubcaps.. I have an S-10 rear-end installed on my '37 truck. Works great. Used the 4-wheel drive option to gain a little better gas mileage. It is a 5 lug wheel, the old, '37 had a 6-lug wheel. The front wheels on the truck are still '37, 6-lug. The original hubcaps have clips on the wheels to retain the hubcaps. The new 5-lug wheels have nubs stamped into them to retain the caps. I cannot find duplicates to the original which will attach via the nubs instead of the clips. I have studied the original hubcaps and am wondering is anyone has tried to modify them to fit the nub type of wheel? It looks like a rolling of the inside lip would do the trick. I need to go from the 7 3/4" or so now on the original caps to the 7 5/8" or so of the new wheels. I can buy all new caps, but I really like the old ones. They have a black swoop on them vs the new ones with a blue swoop. I also imagine the old ones are a little heavier metal.
