I have a 1950 3100 with a 3 on a tree and torque tube. I have rebuilt the Shifter box and have had enough of being stuck in gears. My question to you is can I mount a universal 3 speed floor shift to my torque tube tranny or should I buy the Patrick's 4 speed floor conversion kit for more money? Will Patricks kit give me a little more top speed than just putting a 3 speed shifter on the floor?
