I think you may end up buring out your 6volt lights, indicators, etc... I may be wrong. I think you may be able to leave the exisiting wire harness, but change out your lights, etc. Theres a great "how-to" in the tech section of this website. It discusses the 12 volt conversion and what should be done. And what should NOT be done.
