kswillie's use of the term Loadmaster for a USA large Chevrolet truck is correct for 1947 through mid-1949 Advance-Design trucks (and, as Bill posted, the two series had different front bumpers and front sheet metal: hood, fenders, grill, bumper)
From mid 1947 through mid 1949, Chevrolet used "Thriftmaster" and "Loadmaster" as names of both the truck groups and the engine sizes. After mid-49, the terms Thriftmaster and Loadmaster (and later: Jobmaster, Taskmaster, Super Taskmaster, Workmaster, Workmaster Special) were used only to designate different engines in each year.
