I've always made my own harnesses......to date. You need a little imagination to think of what you might need in the future ( adding stereo amps, auxillary lighting, trailer hookups, etc.) There are also a few shortcuts you can take, like going down to the local truck and trailer store and picking up some 7 wire ( trailer wire ) to take care of the cab to your tail lights. Already jacketed. Just attach in your favorite way to your frame. The basic wire set up is pretty easy. It's when you start adding accessories that your homemade harness starts getting a little more difficult. A little split loom and a roll or two of black tape and you're on your way!!
