The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Engine Shop 51 gmc motor id

I'm trying to verify what size my motor is on my 51 gmc 400 series truck. The serial number is hc453. I think I read there is a number stamped on head by distributor somewhere. Anybody know if this is true ? On first pass thru I couldn't locate.
