I'm getting ready to install a rebuilt cylinder head on my truck's 235 and I was reading page 6-8 in the 1948 to 1951 Chevrolet truck shop manual. In the cleaning paragraph it recommends cleaning carbon deposits from pistons and cylinders. Any thoughts on the best way to do this? Also does anybody know the actual weight of the block with internals installed? I have a block that I want to ship and I'm researching the best way to do that also!

Thanks for your thoughts!
