Well folks, I finally got the 3:90 rearend installed in my 49 truck. It is not a lot of difference between the 4:11 and the 3:90 but some is better than none. I've only got to drive it around the road I live on because of insurance. Got the insurance in yesterday. It took almost 2 months to get it. Seems I did't send some kind of paper in and then they couldn't find my check! It was there they just overlooked it. Anyway it is now insured and I'm going to take it on some short drives to make sure everything is going to work ok. Don't want to just strike out not knowing. I've got to test the engine (1955) and make sure the rearend is welded good. One thing I do know is I've got a good heater and it's starting to get cold down here in Mississippi. I know I've promised more pictures and I will get them. Just have to get my daughter over here with her camera when she's not working. Just thought I'd give everyone an update. Take care everyone and "Merry Christmas" to all.
