That's an excellent choice. It will work with stock compression, and even a standard stall speed torque converter, although a slightly higher-stall unit will really make the engine come alive. Don't go overboard on the carburetion- - - -a 600 CFM 4-barrel would be about right. A stock-calibration quadrajet for a pre-electronic 350 engine will also work well if you don't intend top go with an aftermarket intake.
