If you had a spotlight on your truck, you can shoot them bad ole static chargers right up to the stars.

Wow I have never heard of this problem before. How about putting on a pair of levi's and put a temp cover on the seat. Then try to get out without having the hairs on the back of your neck standup.
Seriously for now I wouldn't drive that Red puppy too much until you get this resolved. I just don't see why you would need to install a static strap or chain. I have never seen one on our trucks.
