Hmmmmmmmmmm not sure, but new battery gauge reads as follows. When ignition is off, guage reads in the middle between "D-C". If headlamps are turned on before vehicle is started guage reads "D". Once vehicle is started and generator is running, the more RPM turned the higher my guage goes on the "C" side of the guage. Perhaps somehow your battery is SUPER SWEET or getting full voltage no matter what your ignition switch is at..............
