Gotta get a Factory Assembly Manual. You'll drive yourself crazy without one. The info that you want is in the '47-'54 Factory Assembly Manual. I assume that it is the same for your '49.
> Section 1, Sheet 3.19 - firewall
> Section 12, Sheet 1.00 - Gauges and harnesses (may be difficult to see)
> Section 12, Sheet 1.001 - Speedo and wiring harness clip. Different clip shown in same Sheet Number on right side of manual.
> Section 12, Sheet 4.05 - brake light switch
> Section 12, Sheet 5.00 - Voltage reg, fuse box, horn relay (if your '49 has one), wiring harness.

> Here is the firewall in my '54. Mostly set up to diagrams in the FAM. Exceptions:
> '54 Horn relay should be mounted on left side of fuse box
