My stock rear axle was 62" to drum face with approx. 1-1/2" clearance to inside tubs. Was the pickup 60"? Sounds like 2" wider original AD specs compared to front end. My donour axle appears to be too wide at 63" taken from 98ZR-2 4X4Blazer. It would work but the emerg. brake is a shoe inside which makes a wider rotor. I have installed a four link which makes the matter even worse. I have installed a M2 front end which complicates the matter.
I am about 3-1/2" wider at the rear using some nice Centerline rims with .5" neg. backspace (towards inside). I have installed some 1" alum. Spacers I could have the rear end and axles shortened but would cost about $600.
Any advice you could give? | | |
