It's a matter of personal choice and convenience/availability/cost of the engine.
I'd put the 216 in it (if readily available, and the price was good), for conversation value (original-year engine). The car and truck 216s at that time were close to identical, if not exactly identical (maybe someone knows if the carb/air-cleaners were the same - I'd bet they were).
