I bought a 48 1 Ton a couple months ago and just finished getting all of the mechanical systems working correctly, now I want to move onto the interior. My main goal is for my fiance to willingly get in for a ride.

I need to replace a couple pieces, but from what I can tell most everything is there and in good shape. The order I was going to tackle everything was seat, doors, floors, then dash.

My seat feels like the driver side springs are fairly worn in. There was a seat rebuilding kit on LMC that claims to fix springs, as well as new padding etc. Does any one have experience with this? I also saw one on Jim Carter but it did not say anything about springs.

When it comes to the floor, I saw various forms on sound dampening padding and floor mats on chevs of the 40's and LMC. Does the sound dampening padding work or is it a lost cause? I also have surface rust on the metal floor pan, I am going clean it off, but do most people paint over the floor pan, or is there another way to protect them?

Sorry for all the questions, I didn't want to start multiple threads for a bunch of little questions. Thank you in advance.
