| | | | Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 39 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Sep 2011 Posts: 39 | I am having a similar problem with my sending unit. My needle gets pegged when the engine is running. I have installed a new wireharness in my 1951 3100 1/2 ton. The harness came with 1 wire for the fuel sending unit, but there are 2 wires coming out of the top of the gas tank. One wire is coming from the middle of the sending unit on the tank and goes to ground under the truck. The other wire goes from the side/edge of the sending unit and goes to the fuel guage. Is this wired correctly? Any idea why I was only provided 1 wire with the new harness? | | |
