| | | | Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 16 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 16 | Hello and fist off thank you to everyone who responded to my earlier post about thinking of buying a 1951 GMC 350 2 ton. I bought the truck and she limped home at 15mph up hill. I first checked the plugs and found she was running on 4 cylinders. I replaced the plugs and wires and she ran great. Good power uphill and steady 55mph on the freeway. Last night she had enough and broke down on the freeway. First she started loosing power (back to 15mph uphill) I downshifted to second gear and she gave out. Now when I try to start her the whole truck shakes and rattles violently so I quickly turn it off. Any suggestions out there are greatly appreciated. Thanks.
