The Stovebolt Site Forums The Side Lot Great Lakes Bolters Illiinois - 1951 Serial/Vin Number on the Title?

I have a question about a 1951 3800 Series truck that I am considering. The serial number on the left door hinge pillar is not the number on the title. I think from My experience that the Vin and serial number are the same and should be on the Title. If the title is not right it is a deal breaker to me. Anyone know of exceptions to this? Truck built in Janeville plant in May of 1951 # 2713 Thanks Bill in Illinois.
