On the oil line, you can snip it, save the end connections and buy new tubing to replace what was cut. The temp line MUST remain intact from the temp sensing bulb thru the gauge, or you will be faced with costly gauge repair. Separate the gauge from the panel first and leave it hang, then as you unscrew the sensor 1 turn at a time from the block,, rotate the gauge 1 turn in the same direction to avoid twisting the capilary tube. Its very helpful to have long arms as in large octupus or a helper. good luck
