I'm glad I found this group!
My grandpa's truck has been sitting out in the weather since the late 60's or early 70's. I remember him saying in the late 80's that he thought we could put a battery in it and it would start right up even after sitting for so long. I'm afraid it's going to take a lot more work now. I could tell that he was proud of the reliability of this truck. I told him about 20 years ago that some day I was going to get it running. I guess it's about time I get started.

It's a '59 GMC and based on some research that I've done, I believe it is a fleet option. I'm not really planning on a restoration at this time. My main goal is to make it run again.
I don't know what I'm doing so I may have a lot of questions. Hope you all don't mind too much.
