For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2012 Posts: 8 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Sep 2012 Posts: 8 | I recently bought a '51 Chevy 3100. It was registered using the engine serial number which is on the title. I researched the truck serial number (5JP-E17984)located on the door post and discovered it was built during May 1951 in Kansas City, MO. I'd like to decode any information from the engine serial number which I believe is JBA636607 which is located on the passenger side of the block. I'd like to find out if the engine was the original in the truck. | | |
