The missus and I have found a 46 jimmy.... It was running when they parked it - in 1994... We haven't yet taken possession, but are looking for some input.
The PO says the engine smokes a bit. I assume that it is a "pounder" with babbett bearings. Should I replace the engine with a newer, full pressure 6, or stick with stock? The truck is pretty much complete and stock, so I'm torn.
If I do go with a more recent engine, what year and size would be best? I do want to keep it with a six, so....
I'd appreciate any advice, caution etc.....
