The shortest distance to the battery ground on the frame,which should be grounded well .You can not have too many ground straps(within reason).
Make sure they are clean and tight and use a little dielectric grease to eliminate/retard corrosion.

There is enough good in the worst of us and enough bad in the best of us that it does not behoove any of us to criticize the rest of us.
