A 2 ton Chevy or GMC had the option of a 4-53 for a number of years ending in 1980. (Starting no earlier than 1958; the introduction of 53 series, not sure first year for trucks)

There were some 3-53's put in GM trucks as conversions from Detroit, they made a housing set for the 3 and 4 cyl that was a bolt in swap for gas engines. I've also seen some step vans that look to have come with the 3-53 stock.
