Hi folks,
I've had a couple of problems with the truck over the last few days that I've managed to fix. I'm going to need some help with this one though.

The truck is a 1941 halt ton with the 216. It has been converted to 12 volt with an alternator. The truck has been running great until yesterday. It started up first boot as usual but the charging light stayed on. I ran the truck for about 10 minutes with the headlights turned on to see if there was any drain on the battery. Turned it off and it cranked over quickly as usual. I had a look at it again this afternoon again no problem starting but after a couple of minutes idling it cut out. When I turned on the ignition the charging light didn't come on, neither did anything else no headlights, horn, indicators etc. The weird thing is that the foot starter still worked. It even worked with the ignition in the off position. Auto electrics are a mystery to me guys. I'd appreciate some help on this.

Cheers

Bob
