Folks -
Got a "barn find" without the barn... I've discovered what I think is 1946 GMC Flatbed. The body is okay, it looks like it's all there, but it is in a blackberry bramble and kinda hard to see. The best part - "It was running when I parked it" 20+ years ago. It was last registered in 1994. I'm not having a lot of luck finding GMC info based on VIN numbers. The model number is EC 303 and the VIN is 6494. The GVW is 13,000#. Can anyone tell me what I have? I can't get inside the cab as yet and am wondering if it has a 2 speed rear axle and if it's a 1 ton, 1.5 or bigger. Any takers? The tag also says the engine is 87 horse at 3,000 RPM. Hoping I can get it to follow me home, wifey is already reasonably on board...
