I paid $100.00 for a good used third member. The bearing were good so all I had to buy then was new seals for the axles and pinion and gaskets for the rear cover and third member. I believe I have under $100.00 on those parts, so a total of about $200.00 or less. I also went with a 3:90.1 ratio. The good part is if I don't like the ratio I can look for another while still driving my 49'. In less than a day you can change it out after the initial work is done. Pretty neat I think. Steven
