The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area General Truck Talk fuel tank and bike tube

I'm getting closer to getting the short bus on the road. My gas tank will be ready to put in next week. I've cleaned and painted the area and straps, etc.

I was thinking about using a bike tire tube to put between the gas tank braces and the tank and also on the tank straps.

I can cut the tube up to make it fit just fine but was wondering if it will hold up or if gasoline would break it down.

Would this work or what do you guys use?
