That's right, it's a mounting bracket but since I haven't installed it yet, I don't know 'xactly how it goes. Comes off the left side of the main Radio body and attaches to an existing dashboard brace in the speedo area. There are detailed instructions in the "Chevrolet Accessories Installation Manual for 1954 Passenger Cars and All trucks" which many of the venders carry.
