#87369 08/05/2002 5:57 PM | Joined: Jun 2000 Posts: 2,773 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2000 Posts: 2,773 | Hot battery cables are usually a sign of poor connections at the battery. Could also be caused by cranking the starter for too long or starter problems.
Another possibility is that the cables are too small. If a 6 volt system, they need to be gauge 1 or bigger.
