If the in-tank pump is for a fuel injected engine, it will be too high pressure for your carburetor and you'll need a fuel pressure regulator.
If it was for a carbureted engine, it may work without modification. The best way to go is to remove the in-tank pump and put a hose that feeds off the bottom. Then you can use the mechanical pump on the block and/or an in-line electric pump. That way if you have fuel issues you don't have to drop the tank. | | |
